Release of the first TikTok album of viral hits

Some of Tik Tok's best viral hits have received full symphonic treatment.

On July 8, six full-length singles from the album will be made available.

Both at record stores and on streaming services, 18 songs will be available.

PARIS: A standard release on CD and vinyl will be made available this summer for some of TikTok's most viral songs, the site revealed on Friday.

The partnership with Warner Classics marks TikTok's first foray into the mainstream music industry, and the 18 tracks will be made available on streaming services and in physical record stores.

Anyone who has spent any time at all on the video streaming service will be familiar with tunes like Alice Merton's "No Roots," which has been featured in 1.3 million videos.

Or the 3.4 million TikTok users' favourite piano ditty "Pieces" by Danilo Stankovic.

Babelsberg Film Orchestra from Germany has given each a thorough overhaul.

No Roots in a different musical setting is uplifting to hear, according to Merton. "I'm enthusiastic about the concept and I can't wait to see it come to life."

Some songs reflect the bizarre music that can become viral on the platform, including "Monkeys Spinning Monkeys," an exuberant, flautist-heavy song that is the ideal backdrop music for many humorous films (27.1 million and counting). With "Wellerman Sea Shanty," Nathan Evans, a Scottish postman, pays homage to the sea shanty fad that swept TikTok in the early 2021s after Evans videotaped himself singing the 19th-century folk tune.

It caught on like wildfire, with musicians like Queen's Brian May and seasoned composer Andrew Lloyd Webber contributing their interpretations of the popular song.

Starting on Friday, users could use 30-second excerpts of the 18 boosted songs on TikTok.

On July 8, six full-length singles from the album will be made available on streaming services. The whole album, "TikTok Classics: Memes and Viral Hits," will then be made available on streaming services and in stores in August.
