Producer Nida Yasir and director Yasir Nawaz have eagerly announced that their movie Chakkar will debut on their YouTube channel Farid Nawaz Productions on July 10. Their Eidi for fans news was made on Instagram.
The murder mystery movie, starring Ahsan Khan and Neelam Muneer, is thought to contain numerous twists and turns and a plot that lives up to its name by going round in circles. Zara and Mehreen, two twin sisters who are both portrayed by Neelam Muneer, are the subject of the movie. Zara is a well-known actress, whilst Mahreen , who is married to Ahsan Khan's Kabir, has a straightforward domestic life.
Zara makes the suggestion to Mehreen during the course of the film that they trade places so that Mehreen might live the thrilling life of a movie star. After Mehreen accepts, a murder occurs, which leads to false accusations, several police chases and gunshots, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.
Journalist Mohammad Kamran Jawaid praised the movie for its quick editing that was appropriate for the subject matter. He also praised Ahmed Hasan for bringing comic relief to the film in the part of Sir Buland Iqbal Cheema. The song "Dil Haaray," performed by Momina Mustehsan and Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan, earned excellent reviews and is regarded as one of the film's strongest points.
But in Jawaid's opinion, the film's lighting scheme in confined spaces was faulty. Others said there were too many twists and turns, as well as glaring flaws in the choreography and Muneer's dance performance.
It is only fair for spectators to watch the film when it is released on YouTube and make their own judgments on Chakkar, highs and lows and all.
