Syed Jibran remembers a humorous incident in which he attempted to take his Ghabrana Nahi Hai co-star Saba Qamar for a date. The actor explains how they became buddies.
Syed Jibran and Saba Qamar Zaman, both actors, are close friends. But that wasn't the case when the two initially met. The Chup Raho actor recently spoke with Fuchsia Magazine on their YouTube show Gup Shup about his profession and journey into Hollywood.
During the interview, the 42-year-old shared some fascinating experiences, including the first time he met actress Saba Qamar Zaman. Jibran claims he was doing a commercial in Karachi in 2004.
Saba was a model at the time and paid no attention to him on site. However, he and Saba were reunited in Islamabad and became friends.
"I made every effort to become her 'friend' friend," Jibran explained. "I asked her out for supper one day." She accepted it, but she was astute. She had the full crew with her when I arrived to pick her up. I've given up and kept my friendship with her since that day."
Syed Jibran says that this is why he enjoyed working with Saba in Ghabrana Nahi Hai since they had chemistry. He even joked with Saba that if they had dated and broken up, the film would not have worked.
