RAWALPINDI: One more victim of the deadly coronavirus passed away over the past 24 hours, bringing the district's total death toll to 1,766.
According to the most recent data made public by the District Health Authority on Friday, 1,766 people have passed away since the epidemic began, including 1,335 inhabitants of Rawalpindi and 431 from other districts.
The report also stated that 14 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the district's total of confirmed cases to 46,750, including 3,512 cases from outside districts and 43,238 instances from Rawalpindi. Five of the new patients came from the town of Potohar , and four came from Rawal.one each from Gujjar Khan and Taxila, three from the town, and three from Kahutta.
Data showed that "81 are currently quarantined in residences and no one at the health facility." Since the commencement of the vaccination programme on March 10, 2021, up to 6,913,145 people—including 44,797 healthcare professionals—have received the lethal disease vaccine, according to an update from the District Health Authority.
The report also stated that 1,036 samples were gathered during the course of the previous 24 hours, 1,022 of which were deemed negative, with a positive percentage of 1.35 percent.
